Thinking about therapy?

Perhaps you are looking for support with something specific, hoping to understand yourself better, or simply in need of a confidential space to talk about you and your world.

I offer counselling and psychotherapy for adults, online and face-to-face in Streatham, Herne Hill and Clapham.

No obligation. A chance to ask questions and see how it feels to talk.

Max Stoner Local London Psycotherapist

I’m Max

I’m a BACP registered Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist working with adults online and face-to-face in Streatham, Clapham and Herne Hill. My approach is thoughtful and collaborative, offering space to explore difficult feelings, relationships and recurring patterns without judgement.

I believe that understanding ourselves more deeply can help us recognise how our ways of coping developed and with that create more choice in how we live life now.

How I work

I draw particularly on person-centred and psychodynamic thinking. This means paying attention both to what is happening in the present and to the patterns, relationships and earlier experiences that may still shape how you feel and respond.

Some people come with something specific they want to work through; others prefer a more open-ended space to understand themselves and their experiences in greater depth. Both are welcome, and we can decide together what feels right.
