Working together
How I work
I offer therapy to adults both online and face-to-face in Streatham, Herne Hill and Clapham.
Sessions last 50 minutes and are usually held weekly, although we can discuss together what feels most appropriate for you.
Some people come with a specific issue they would like to work through over a number of sessions. Others prefer a more open-ended approach, allowing space to explore themselves and their experiences in greater depth. Both are welcome and we can decide together what feels right.
My therapeutic approach
I completed a Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of Westminster, where I trained in an integrative approach to therapy, drawing particularly on person-centred and psychodynamic thinking.
Alongside my academic training, I have gained clinical experience through NHS Talking Therapies and longer-term counselling placements, working with adults experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties.
Person-centred therapy places importance on creating a warm, accepting and collaborative relationship in which people feel safe enough to explore whatever they are experiencing.
Psychodynamic therapy is interested in understanding the deeper patterns that shape our lives, including the ways earlier relationships and experiences can continue to influence us in the present.
Bringing these approaches together allows me to offer a space that is both supportive and reflective; somewhere we can think together about what has brought you to therapy and what might help.
What can therapy help with?
People come to therapy for many different reasons, including:
Anxiety and worry
Low self-esteem and self-confidence
Relationship difficulties
Stress and burnout
Loss and bereavement
Life transitions
Shame and self-criticism
Feeling stuck or lost
Identity and sense of self
Family difficulties
You don't need to have a clearly defined problem to begin therapy. Sometimes people simply have a feeling that something isn't quite right, or that life is feeling heavier than it needs to be. Click here to learn more about what brings people to therapy.
What are sessions like?
Every therapeutic relationship develops differently because every person is different.
Clients often tell me they value having a space where they can speak openly without fear of judgement. They describe therapy as helping them think differently about their experiences and explore aspects of themselves that they may not usually have access to in everyday life.
My hope is that therapy helps you feel seen, understood and accompanied in ways you may not have experienced elsewhere. Through developing greater awareness of ourselves, our relationships and our patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving, we often discover that we have more choices than we first imagined.
Above all, I aim to work at a pace that feels manageable for you.

FAQ’s
-
Sessions last 50 minutes.
-
Therapy is usually held once a week, at the same time each week where possible. Regular sessions help create consistency, although we can discuss what feels most appropriate for you.
-
There is no fixed answer. Some people come with a particular issue they would like to explore over a shorter period, while others prefer more open-ended therapy.
We can review how the work is progressing as we go and decide together what feels right.
-
If you need to cancel or rearrange a session, I ask for at least 72 hours’ notice. Sessions cancelled with less notice are usually charged at the full fee, except in exceptional circumstances.
-
The first session is an opportunity to talk about what has brought you to therapy, what you may be hoping for and any questions or concerns you have.
It also gives us both a chance to consider whether working together feels like a good fit. There is no pressure to make an immediate long-term commitment.
